Haven't posted in well... a while. Guess it never really dawned on me to post what I've been working on in college. But I'm going to start posting more, promise.
Anyway. Here's the beginning of that promise. It is for my Graphic Design I class (an elective, I'm studying to teach art). The project was to illustrate an event in history visually with only the date in numeric form as the written communication. We were allowed no words, but could use photographs.
For my piece, I chose the stock market crash of October 19th, 1929 (HA! I got the month in there anyway xP) and I guess I prefer a simpler vector style to the photography. The numbers were my teachers idea to tie in the stocks better, but I'm still unsure whether I like them.
Made in Adobe In Design Photoshop CS3 was used to overlay the numbers and the gradiant at the bottom behind the date. Time: Not long (don't tell my professor)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Entonces, ¿Cuál es exactamente la diferencia entre arte y diseño?
